PK XD and Kral Şakir Collaboration
PK XD and Kral Şakir Collaboration: A Local IP in a Global Game! Brand collaborations in the gaming world are no longer just about visibility. The real challenge is being present in the right game, with the right audience, and through the right cultural connection. That is exactly why bringing together a locally powerful IP and a globally strong gaming platform means much more to us than a standard integration.
PK XD and Kral Şakir collaboration became one of the strongest and most enjoyable examples of this for us. As Gaming in Türkiye | MENA | EU, in this project we brought together PK XD, which has a massive global player base, and Kral Şakir, one of Türkiye’s most beloved children’s and family entertainment brands, in the same world. With more than 500 million downloads on Google Play and its multilingual structure offering a broad global reach, PK XD made this collaboration valuable not only locally but also internationally. Kral Şakir, produced by Grafi2000, also holds strong brand recognition as one of Türkiye’s first domestic animated series. This project once again showed us and proved that brands that truly understand local culture can create not only visibility in the gaming world, but also engagement, ownership, and long-term value.
What did we do in the PK XD and Kral Şakir collaboration?
Today, many brands want to enter the world of gaming, and many already do. However, players now notice superficial ads or partnerships very quickly. Simply placing a character, a logo, or a visual language into a game is no longer enough. Players need to find it natural, fun, and meaningful. In fact, the best setup is when it feels like a true part of the game without players even realizing it is advertising. (Of course, that may not always be possible.)
PK XD and Kral Şakir collaboration was built exactly around this idea: bringing two strong worlds together in a way that does not disrupt the player experience, while creating something that feels culturally relevant and meaningful.

Within the collaboration, the characters Şakir, Canan, Kadriye, Remzi, and Fil Necati were brought into the PK XD universe as “buddies.” In addition, Kral Şakir-themed outfits, bundles, posters, pet pods, and various in-game items were made available to players. This structure turned the project from a single-layer licensing placement into an experience with multiple touchpoints.
For a collaboration to be considered truly successful, it is not enough just to announce it; players need to genuinely embrace it. The biggest factor that made the difference here was shaping the Kral Şakir universe in a way that fit naturally with PK XD’s social and creative structure.
Players did not just see a brand.
They played with it, carried it on their avatars, kept it by their side, turned it into decoration, and made it part of their social experience. They did not find it out of place within the game world; on the contrary, they treated it like a natural part of the game’s new update. That is why the project evolved into something more than a typical brand collaboration. Instead of being something talked about outside the game, the brand became a living experience within it.

The first-wave performance data from our campaign clearly showed that the project found a very strong response within the game, and the results ended up being even stronger than we expected. During the campaign period, the global average daily installs reached 320,641, average DAU (daily active users) reached 1,855,640, total players reached 7,248,867, and the total number of sessions reached 6,915,472. In addition, the number of players who owned at least one Kral Şakir item reached 623,700.
Türkiye also delivered especially remarkable results. Average DAU in Türkiye reached 625,461, total players reached 1,968,610, and the number of players who owned Kral Şakir items reached 277,019. This clearly proved that a local IP can generate curiosity and engagement not only in Türkiye, but also across different markets.
On the purchase side, it was also important to see that the strongest performance came from the Pet Pod Kral Şakir products. Among the highest-volume items were Pet Pod Kral Şakir with 37,787 purchases, Pet Pod Kral Şakir x5 with 11,537 purchases, and Pet Pod Kral Şakir x20 with 3,316 purchases. Canan Outfit, Kral Şakir Outfit, and Kral Şakir Bundle were among the other standout items. This distribution showed that companion-focused content attracted strong player interest.

PK XD and Kral Şakir collaboration did not stay only inside the game!
What made this project valuable was not just its in-game performance. We also saw a very clear increase in communication and visibility compared to the previous period. The total number of mentions rose from 447 to 1,109, social media mentions increased from 348 to 864, and the number of user-generated content pieces went up from 363 to 869. The average visibility score increased from 24 to 45, while the advertising value equivalent (AVE) reached $2.3 million, up from $1.2 million. The drop in negative content ratio from 7% to 4% also showed that this growing visibility was supported by a positive and balanced perception.

PK XD and Kral Şakir collaboration actually shows this very clearly: a well-built gaming partnership does not just create visibility, it also creates conversation, a sense of ownership, and positive perception. The increase in user-generated content (UGC) in particular shows that the project did not remain limited to official announcements, but was also embraced by players themselves. We believe this is one of the most valuable signals for brands.
If a brand wants to:
- reach younger audiences in a more natural way,
- build a culturally relevant connection,
- bring the power of its IP into a digital experience,
- and create a model that players genuinely engage with, in-game collaborations offer a very strong opportunity.
But the secret to success here is not just being visible.
Success comes from finding the right game, understanding player behavior, reading local culture correctly, and designing the integration in a way that fits naturally into the game’s own structure.
PK XD and Kral Şakir collaboration became a concrete example of how local entertainment brands can create a strong impact in the global gaming world. The results across in-game performance, visibility, and community impact clearly show how strategic gaming-focused brand collaborations have become. The project also highlighted that the goal of this collaboration was not just to create a fun integration, but also to increase Kral Şakir’s international visibility and deliver a culturally distinctive experience for players.
