StartGate Global Game Jam 24

48 Saate Kaç Oyun Sığar: StartGate Global Game Jam 24! StartGate, the Biggest Digital Game and Game Technologies Entrepreneurship Centre in Europe and the Middle East, achieves global success, just 7 months after its launch. StartGate will be one of the 12 sites in Turkey for the world’s largest game creation event, Global GameJam’24. StartGate Global Game Jam’24 will take place on January 26-28 and the application deadline is January 23, 2024.

The world’s largest game creation event, Global Gam Jam (GGJ), will be held this year between 22-28 January 2024. Global Game Jam, taking place in physical locations across the globe, stimulates collaboration, innovation, and fun in games. GGJ’24, which invites participants to explore new technologies, take on new roles in game creation, and design a game in 48 hours, will take place in 686 sites in 94 countries.

StartGate, one of Turkey’s Istanbul sites hosting this global adventure with 12 venues, will host intrepid game crafters and digital dreamers between 26-28 January.

Open to all participants over the age of 18, StartGate GGJ ’24 promises an environment where ideas and dreams come true and cooperation is encouraged. Offering the opportunity to experience the joy of game development and the excitement of seeing dreams come to life, StartGate GGJ’24 allows participants to be part of a community where they can forge lasting bonds.

The application deadline is January 23, 2024, and  places are limited to 80 game crafters.

Located close to the university, technology centers and the Turkish headquarters of many global companies, StartGate serves on an area of 4,215 square meters in its 5 storey building in Maslak. At StartGate, on a 24/7 campus focused on digital games and game development technologies, experience and test laboratories, sleep capsules, acoustically insulated online meeting cabins, lecture halls, seminar rooms, podcast/vlog rooms, fitness room, music room and 50 units. It is the biggest new generation meeting center with private sector investment with its game development studio.
