Women From The Gaming Industry Coding The Art! Müzede Hackathon, which will be held in collaboration with Women in Games Turkey, Sabancı University, and British Council, brings together those who want to take part in the gaming world from all over Turkey, at Sabanci University Sakip Sabanci Museum on February 16-17, 2019.

Women in Games, founded to support women’s participation in the $ 138 billion worth of game industry with innovative and creative ideas, will bring 50 women students aged 18 and older in the game industry together with competition, at Sakip Sabanci Museum the Seed on February 16-17.

Women students who want to show their characters, work, experiences, and potential to sector stakeholders, are curious about the culture of the game, are interested in art and want to be a part of, will design their own games inspired by Sakıp Sabancı Museum exhibitions in Hackathon, which will take 24 hours.

Game is Art

This time in Hackathon, where software developers, interfaces designers, and computer programmers come together in groups of 5-7 people and work 24 hours a day to develop a new project, women students will encode the theme “Oyun Sanattır” (Game is Art).

With the support of the British Council, “Game is Art” themed “Müzede Hackathon”, will start with the opening speech of Marie Claire Isaaman, CEO of Women in Games UK. In the panel, Indie Game Developer Özgür Taşkın, who has received many awards worldwide, and Mehmet Ecevit, CEO of Gram Games and Apple Design Awards winner will take place. In addition, representatives of global gaming companies will share their experiences with the participants for two days at the event. Also, Ozan Aydemir, the Founder and CEO of Gaming in TURKEY | MENA | EU and Espor Agency, will take part as a mentor.
